Little Tim blogged his vacation

Little Tim blogged his vacation.  If you are interestedmin seeing his trip go to littletimmysadventures.blogspot.com

Bummer.....vacation is over?

Well, the 3 week trek over Europe is over.  We all had a great time, especially Little Tim, but the poor guy is exhausted...me too.  This is a picture Paul took of me getting some shut eye during the long ass plane ride home!

I must admit, I love going on vacation, but I also love coming home!

Last day in Paris....

Our last day in Paris was very cool.   Several of us went to flea market (yes it's true....and it was awesome.)  I bought some antique silver buttons that I am going to put on a sweater.  Paul bought Brandi the most adorable antique turtle sweater pin and Pat bought some old books.  After went to the Rue Cler and had lunch then went to the Champs de Elysees for dessert at the Laduree....omg...to die for.... (sorry Natalie...WE HAD TO!)

The last thing I did was get a hair cut, yes..I got a Parisian haircut!  Unfortunately the girl who cut my hair did not understand, speak or interpret English, so I pretty much came back almost bald...(yes I am exaggerating....but it is really short....good thing I don't care....besides it makes for a funny story...lmao!)

Group dinner and the Eiffel Tower

Several of us went to dinner around the Eiffel Tower on Friday.  It was raining, but a good time was had by all of us.

Food.....mmmm mmmm good!

The food has been interesting....I ate a little bit (OK A LOT) of everything.  Good thing we are headed home tomorrow....I need to go on a diet!

Champs Elysees

Paul, Fen and I hiked up to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to see the view over the Champs Elysees and the skyline of Paris.  It was quite nice, but after we got up to the top Fen reminded me he is afraid of heights...ooops!  He was a great sport and made the best of it...nicely done sir!

Versailles

We went to Versailles on Friday and were amazed at the size of the property. Versailles was built by Louis the XIV in the 1700 for French Monarchs.  He was pretty much a nut job and was eventually evicted by residents.  The day we were there we noticed a lot of activity.  We later found out it was one of two places Kanye and Kim Kardasian were thinking about getting married.

A voila....Made it to Paris....!

We are in Paris and on the last leg of our 3 week trip.  It has been awesome and we have truly enjoyed our time with the gang.  Rather than spending a lot of time at a few sites Fenton, Paul, Brandi and I did several "hit and runs" visiting several sites...Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge, Church of the Sacred Heart and the shops.  It's kind of late, so I will post more info later, but I wanted to share a few pictures. Tomorrow we will be going to Versailles....very excited!

Just Dickin' Around....

Dick was drivin like he stole it! Per a witness at the scene "I had no idea we could get so much air!"  When interviewed by the Politzi he stated "ain't nobody got time for that, I was tryimg to capture the flag."

American Military Cemetery/Normandie, France

The gang went to the American Cemetery in Normandie. I don't have the words to express what it felt like to be here.  The cemetery was a beautiful design and meticulously manicured.  I am thankful and humbled to be an American!

Mont - Saint - Aignan

The traffic was crazy when we arrived in Mont - Saint - Aignan which is in the Normandy Region.  The group had trouble staying together, but Pat and Paul blew through the red lights and eventually captured the flag.

Made it to France - Normandy area

We finally arrived in France.  This portion of the trip is centered around Normandy.  It's hard to believe this is the last week of our excursion.

Third Reich Tour - The Origin of the Nazi Party

Several of us went on a Third Reich history tour on the rise of the Nazi Party. It started with the economic climate post WWI and how depressed the Germans were due to losing the war.  The tour was over 2 1/2 hours in which we walked along main areas where  Hitler began speaking and was able to manipulate people to follow him.  We saw Hitlers office, the SS offices and the beer hall where much began.
