Hofbrauhaus

The crew and Little Tim went to the Hofbrauhaus which is a beer hall in the center of Munich.  It was originally built in 1589 by Bavarian Duke Maxmilian I.  Everyone had a good time, but Little Tim may have had a few too many.....rumor has it he was singing in the alley with some local Germans and yelling something that sounded like "Bucati" or "burger king"....no one is sure, but good news he made it back to the hotel....

Dachau Concentration Camp

The entire group went to tour the Dachau Concentration Camp.  Several of us traced the 3K walk the prisoners took.  The entire day was quite somber, but we all are glad we went.  It's hard to believe people could be so inhumane and treat people with such brutality.

First day in Munich

Today we spent our first day in Munich.  We had a terrific time touring Marienplatz.  There was a protest in the square...quite interesting.

Scary day at home.....

While in Austria, we received a call from a friend concerned about a fire close to our house.  A few minutes later we received  a reverse 911 phone call to evacuate....very scary few hours, but thanks to America's heroes the neighborhood was saved...!

Thank you Dan, Tina, Craig, Jeff, Shannon and Linda for looking out for us....you are the best!

Der Untersberg in the Austrian Alps

A group of us road a cable car into the Austrian Alps.  It was really cold, but we had a fabulous time!!  We also hiked up 5,900 feet into the mountains.

What a wonderful way to end this leg of our trip.

Old...old...old Communications Center

We think this is an old Communications Center in Saltzberg.
